From Copilot to Assistant: Evolving with intent

When we first introduced the AskCody Copilot in our Platform 2 weeks ago, our goal was clear: to make it easier for users to understand, navigate, and get value from the AskCody platform faster by adding AI-powered assistance right where it matters most - right inside the Platform. We introduced our Copilot as an augmented Customer Success Assistant.

If you missed the launch, you can read more about our AI vision here: https://www.askcody.com/copilot

Since launching, we’ve learned a lot about how our users interact with our Copilot (Assistant) and how important clarity is when introducing AI into everyday workflows. Based on these learnings, we’re now updating the name of AskCody Copilot to AskCody Assistant.

Why? Because words matter. And so does setting the right expectations.

There’s a growing difference in how we talk about AI:

An AI Assistant supports human decision-making and actions (like a driver-assist system in a modern car - it assists you on how to drive)

An AI Agent operates autonomously on behalf of the user (like a fully self-driving car with no driver input and hands offs the wheel)

The AskCody Assistant is firmly in the first category. It doesn’t act on your behalf. It doesn’t make decisions for you. It can't book a meeting for you, but it will show you how to do it.

It helps you make better decisions - faster. Whether that’s understanding how to complete a task, navigating the product more easily, or surfacing best practices and insights when you need them most.

The rename reflects this philosophy. It also signals our commitment to building AI that adds real value - not noise. AI that is thoughtful, transparent, and purposeful. Not trendy for trend’s sake.

This is just the beginning of our AI journey. But it’s a deliberate one. And as the Assistant grows smarter, its role remains the same: to support you - not replace you.

Same vision. More clarity.

Meet your AskCody Assistant right inside the AskCody Platform.
