The first half of 2025 has been about tightening the nuts and bolts that keep meetings running. From an improved Entra ID connector to an AI-powered Assistant inside the platform, every release this first half year was aimed at the same goal: less busywork for the people who schedule, service, and support meetings every day.
Below is a quick tour of the highlights, grouped by the kind of impact you’ll notice.
Foundation Upgrades
User management, rebuilt
We’ve rebuilt our Microsoft Entra ID connector on Microsoft’s SCIM engine. With this update, user syncs are faster, lighter, and follow Microsoft’s least-privilege model. Updates happen within the hour, and after the initial setup, access is automatically given based on Entra ID group memberships: Simply add a user to an Entra ID Security Group and they appear in the right AskCody role within minutes, no manual export/import, and no excess permissions.
The SCIM connector is the default for new customers. Existing customers will soon be able to switch to it on under Admin Center → Integrations → Entra ID Integration.

AskCody Assistant
The AskCody Assistant sits inside the platform like a teammate who’s read every help article, setup guide, and best-practice playbook we’ve ever written. When a question comes up, just type it in to get:
-
Answers, right away: Ask in plain language, get a clear response in seconds
-
Step-by-step help: From first-time setup to odd edge cases, the Assistant walks you through the steps
-
Helpful nudges: Need a reminder about buffer times or booking rules? It offers tips in context, so meetings have everything required
The Assistant never touches customer data. It’s there to point you in the right direction, and guide you as a digital customer success assistant.

Smart Workspace Control & Insights
Location Memberships and Resource Groups
AskCody now supports two complementary ways to show each employee only the rooms and desks they’re allowed to reserve and manage. No more scrolling through spaces that will be declined later.

Where it Works |
What It Does |
---|---|---|
Location Memberships |
Central and All Bookings |
Assigns users to specific locations, making them location members. Anyone without the membership to a specific location simply won't see the rooms or desks in it on Central and All Bookings. Ideal for keeping Boston bookings out of London calendars (and vice-versa). |
Resource Groups |
Bookings Add-in |
Bundle any set of spaces (client conference suites, video studios, hot-desk zones) into a group and link it to an Entra ID security group. Users will only see (and can only book) the resources assigned to their group, all inside the AskCody Bookings Add-in for Outlook. |
These two features are perfect for organizations that require full automated control of what employees are able to see and book, as they go beyond what Outlook allows in terms of booking permissions.

Granular Reports on Insights
Insights now lets you slice utilization data by individual weekdays, or drop weekends entirely.
Whether your organization runs a hybrid model or a four-day week, you can zero in on the days people actually come to the office and spot patterns that monthly roll-ups miss. With Insights you now get more precise head-count forecasts, and data-backed space decisions.
