Full-Stack Software Engineer, AI-First Product Development
About the role
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer in our R&D department, you will help build, operate, and improve the product capabilities behind AskCody.
You will work across services, APIs, integrations, frontend experiences, cloud infrastructure, and operational tooling. The role has a strong technical foundation in backend and integrations, but the expectation is broader: you should be able to take ownership of full features and contribute across the stack when needed.
Our technology stack includes .NET/C#, React, GraphQL, Azure, databases, Microsoft Exchange integrations, and PHP. You don’t need to be an expert in everything from day one, but you should be comfortable learning across the stack and working where the product needs you.
Our services are containerized and deployed in modern cloud environments, so familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is helpful. Deep expertise is not required from day one, but you should be comfortable working around them.
Key responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve product features across backend services, APIs, integrations, and frontend experiences.
- Work with .NET/C#, React, GraphQL, Azure, databases, Microsoft Exchange-related functionality, and PHP.
- Contribute to end-to-end feature development, from technical clarification and implementation to testing, deployment, monitoring, and follow-up.
- Troubleshoot issues across API, backend, database, cloud, integration, and frontend boundaries.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, QA, debugging, deployment, and monitoring.
- Improve developer experience through better tooling, documentation, automation, and reusable patterns.
- Grow into operational ownership of the systems you help build, including becoming part of the on-call rotation with proper onboarding and support.
We are implementing an AI-first engineering model across R&D
By the time you join, the foundation will be in place: approved AI tools, shared practices, responsible-use guidance, and early agentic workflows for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, analysis, and operational support.
We are not treating this as finished. AI-first software development is still evolving, and you will help us mature how we use AI, coding agents, automation, and structured workflows in real engineering work.
You are expected to use AI actively and responsibly as part of your daily engineering workflow. That includes using AI to support coding, analysis, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, refactoring, and feature delivery.
You should be able to break down technical problems into clear tasks, prompts, validation steps, and review criteria. AI-generated output must be reviewed, tested, and understood before use. The goal is not to replace engineering judgment, but to make skilled engineers faster, sharper, and more effective.
What we offer
Success in this role means delivering reliable, secure, maintainable product improvements, using AI to increase quality and speed, communicating clearly, and taking ownership beyond implementation.
- Real responsibility, not just a predefined task list.
- The opportunity to work on product capabilities that matter to customers.
- A central role in an AI-first engineering culture that is already being implemented.
- The chance to help shape how we use AI, coding agents, automation, and agentic workflows in real software development.
- Complex technical challenges involving Microsoft Exchange, scheduling logic, GraphQL, Azure, cloud-native deployment, and full-feature product development.
- Growth into stronger technical ownership, architectural contribution, production responsibility, and on-call participation.
- A collaborative R&D environment where learning, initiative, and pragmatic problem-solving are valued.

Welcome to a world of better meetings
AskCody is the meeting management platform built natively for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange. We bring room booking, resource scheduling, visitor management, meeting services, and workplace insights together in one platform, so the calendar matches reality and meetings run as planned.
We’re headquartered in Aalborg, Denmark, and our software is trusted at more than 2,500 offices and by more than 500,000 users worldwide, across corporate offices, financial and professional services, and law firms.
Our vision is simple: creating a superior workplace experience through innovative meeting and workplace management software. A workplace that works, where there’s no friction between what was scheduled and what actually happens. That’s the product you’ll help build, and the problem space you’ll get to know deeply.
The Best of Both Worlds
In October 2025, AskCody became part of Volaris Group, which is part of Constellation Software, one of the world’s largest and most stable software groups.
For you, that means two good things at once. You get the focus, ownership, and pace of a product-led company, where your work ships to real customers and your decisions genuinely matter. You also get the stability and long-term thinking of a permanent home. Volaris acquires software companies to keep and grow them, not to flip them.
It’s a great time to join R&D. We’re building an AI-first engineering culture on a modern Microsoft stack, and we give engineers real room to take ownership, shape how we work, and grow into deeper technical and operational responsibility.
You’ll solve genuinely interesting problems around Microsoft Exchange, scheduling logic, GraphQL, Azure, cloud-native delivery, and full-feature product development alongside colleagues who care about doing the work well.
Our People and How We Lead
At AskCody, people and technology sit at the core of everything we do, and the thing our team talks about most is trust.
We place genuine trust in our people, paired with real freedom and real responsibility. As one of our colleagues puts it, it’s not just about working independently; it’s about having the ability to manage that responsibility well.
We work in a hybrid, flexible way because, as our founder likes to say, work is not somewhere you go, it’s something you do. What matters is what you accomplish, not where you sit while you do it. We are preferably looking for someone in Aalborg area.
We hire for curiosity, learnability, coachability, work ethic, and a real passion for the craft. We look for the self-discipline and solution orientation that freedom and responsibility require.
These are the virtues we hold ourselves to:
-
Take ownership. We get things done, own our mistakes, and hold ourselves accountable.
-
Be real and honest. We communicate openly and directly, always with respect.
-
Add real value. We focus on work that truly benefits our customers and the company.
-
Stay curious. We learn and grow from every experience, knowing failure is part of the process. We live, we learn.
-
Understand the world we live in. We stay aware of the market, the ecosystem, our customers, and the competition, so we make better decisions.
Leadership follows from those same virtues. Leaders are real and honest, communicate openly and directly, and always with respect. We set high expectations and strive for excellence. When we miss the mark, we learn, adapt, and improve.
We keep feedback loops short and make sure every voice is heard, from small team conversations to our regular State of the Union meetings.
Now that we’re part of Volaris Group, our leaders can think and invest for the long term. That keeps the focus on doing work that matters, for our customers and for each other.
It’s a culture we’re proud of, and one that’s been recognized with our nomination to Workplace of the Year in Aalborg three times, in 2019, 2021, and 2022.
If that sounds like where you want to do your best work, we’d love to hear from you.
