Space utilization

What is space utilization?

Utilization is the measurement of use in terms of your resources eg. how you utilize your meeting rooms or desks. This is the percentage of time during a week, where meeting rooms or desks are reserved. You normally calculate this by taking the percentage of reserved time for all, or a selection of your resources in relation to the time, you have available during a work-week.


When you have calculated the reserved time and divided that by your available time, you would optimally end up between 40-60%. We found that this is an optimal number to hit in terms of utilization.
