Q.: I am connecting using ANSI to a SCO host. The colors and function keys do not work properly. Is there a workaround?
A.: Users have reported success with the following:

While in an ANSI session, Select Host in Edit Session Profiles from the Options menu. Enter ANSI in the Telnet Name Override window. Save the configuration and profile.

This works with the public host, FEDWORLD.GOV

Q.: I cannot connect to a public host. Why?
A.: Enter the host name exactly as listed. Do not put HTTP:// or www in front of the domain name; do not put a period after the name.

If IntelliTerm will not connect, open your Command Prompt interface and type
C:\>telnet orbis.yale.edu
Type: vt100 when prompted. If you still cannot connect to any public host, the problem is with your system, network, ISP or you do not have permissions from your system administrator to do this.

If you can connect through the Command Prompt but not with IntelliTerm, please contact Distinct Presales Tech Support, CodyK@distinct.com.

Q.: I see EHLLAPI documentation in the HELP files and manual. There is very little mention of WinHLLAPI. Do you have additional documentation?
A.: Yes we do. WinHLLAPI has its own HELP files. This documentation and samples are found in the IntelliTerm Toolkit. It is downloaded separately for evaluation from http://www.distinct.com/downloads/freetrials/index.asp

Q.: I see garbage characters instead of pseudographics. My frames look all messed up.
A.: You probably need to select a font that has pseudographics characters defined. When connected go to Fonts->Select font and choose 'OEM Special Characters' or 'Terminal' font". Contact Distinct support if this does not solve your problem.

Q.: I want to hide the screen in a HLLAPI session.
A.: You cannot completely hide the screen but it can be minimized on startup. To force newly spawned sessions in minimized mode (iconized and visible), add the following line to the [EHLLAPI.Settings] section in the ITERM.INI file.

Start Minimized = On
