Should I use HLLAPI, EHLLAPI or WinHLLAPI?

Product: Distinct IntellitermTopic: GeneralLast updated: 3/31/2008

Q.: Should I use HLLAPI, EHLLAPI or WinHLLAPI?
A.: WinHLLAPI is normally used to write new applications. Windows HLLAPI defines a standard and consistent IBM EHLLAPI-style API for the 16- and 32-bit versions of the Microsoft Windows graphical environment. It encompasses both familiar IBM EHLLAPI-style routines and a set of Windows-specific extensions designed to allow the programmer to take advantage of the Windows environment. The WinHLLAPI module fully implements Windows HLLAPI version 1.1 as defined in the Windows Open Services Architecture.

The EHLLAPI module is compatible with Attachmate's® Extra! for Windows™ and DCA's Irma for Windows™.

The HLLAPI module (HLLAPI.DLL) was available only with Distinct IntelliTerm 16-bit.
