I need my SMTP client to connect to a port other than the well known port.
Distinct will first check the services file to see if there is an entry for smtp, otherwise it will connect to the well-known port 25. If you wish to connect to a different port you need to change the smtp entry in the services file. If the entry is not in your service file you need to add it. However, be careful not to add it if it is already there as the first entry will be read
